The requirements in the brewing industry regarding quality and purity of water have been constantly growing during recent years. Besides physiologically important and desired ingredients special attention is paid to the contents of undesirable ingredients in water. In this respect, the removal of dissolved gases - especially oxygen - forms an essential aspect.
For beer, Tuchenhagen Brewery Systems offers solutions for a wide range of requirements. The requested limit value of residual oxygen as well as the further treatment of water determines the technical procedure of the process.
The DIOX system works on the principle of the water deaeration and reaches a residual oxygen content of < 0.05 ppm. When higher capacities are required, the VARIDOX can lower the residual oxygen up to 0.01 ppm. In the VARIDOX, undesired oxygen is removed in a reaction column with a counter-current stripping gas.
